I had to convince my partner that it was worth seeing the fireflies! He thought it might be a bit lame, which honestly I did too. But theres not much to do in Donsol at night and this is completely worth your time! The fireflies were marvelous! We had an incredible guide who was chatty and passionate about the area.... More

Except for the whalesharks, nothing much to do in Donsol. This tour, 1,5 hr incl pick up from hotel, is ok. By boat on river, completely dark, to look for fireflies that live in trees that bloom. Nothing more, nothing less. Worth the 1000 peso, no, but still, if you never seen them and happen to be around, consider it.

Its absolutely worth the money! We booked the ship for only for two of us and it was very romantic. The guide told us a lot of interesting informations about the firefly and even about this place and the sky! I recommend you to go to this trip when there are no clouds, co you can see the stars.

This tour was top notch! The boat ride under the stars, the calm sea, the fireflies, everything! We booked through the resort we were gonna be staying at (Amor Resort). The tour cost us P1250 (Maximum of 4 persons per boat) and we set off around 7:30PM. The stars were breathtaking and the fireflies lit up some of the trees... More

I went on the firefly tour with this company in november 2015. I rented a private boat (there were no other interested passengers, or so I was told...). I had a crew of 3 (captain, so called guide and navigator) on the boat. I had to sit on a wooden plank as a seat, water was coming in the boat... More

This was something to do while staying in Donsol. It was interesting to see the fireflies, and how they surrounded certain trees. It was beautiful, and a quick little tour. It was also nice seeing all of the stars that were out. We went on a group tour, and be warned that it is a little bit of a squeeze... More

We did the fire fly tour and saw lots of them. Its hard to describe the beauty of it to anyone. Its definitely worth going. Iys a quick trip down the river in a small outrigger boat. Its a pretty small boat but the river is very calm and you get very close to the creatures. If you are in... More

It oke to see the firefly's. But its way to expensive for what you see. And when we were there, we were one of the 5 boats. To many people!

I went to Donsol on an off peak season. I witnessed the quite, provincial Do sol, reminiscent of the yesteryears of my childhood. it was just an overnight stay. We hired a banca for a thousand pesos to bring the five of us to the Ogod river to watch the fireflies. The river ride alone was mesmerizing. With just the half-moon and... More

It is sad to know that the firefly watching of Donsol does not know what species of fireflies there are. They say no researcher wants to check it. The fireflies look like a christmas tree. When I was younger though there were more of them though. Now they just look really few and live on top of the trees. You... More
