You have to remember you're in the back waters of Japan and it's no high tech show, however these guys did a great job of entertaining us (great value), oh and our kids. The entire show is in Japanese and we were the only Westerners so they made an effort for the performers who could speak English. We even got... More

Small museum but includes many Ninja related things. 1) an exhibition on Ninja lifestyle and history 2) a ninja show (which was honestly less than what I had hoped) 3) a recreation of Ninja house which is quipped with its exciting secretive features 4) museum shop with Ninja stuff which they claim is 'authentic and unique' but can be purchased... We had a great time at the Ninja Museum. The show was great and the ninjas and guides wonderful. The train ride from Osaka was easy and the scenery was stunning. If you have time there is an awesome pottery shop nearby. When you leave the forested area at the parking lot, turn left on the road and it will... More

Iga-ryu Ninja museum had been number one on my bucket list considering my first trip to Japan. And I was not disappointed. Unfortunately there was not show the day I visited, but the museum staff (all girls) showed us many ninja tricks and special improvements to the house. The demonstration was in Japanese but there were written explanations in English,... More

This is a must visit if you are in the vicinity or if you are a martial arts fan. There is an English translator if your Japanese isn't up to speed. So much history and it is very inexpensive. You will see ninja weapons and tools that you cannot see anywhere else in the world. My family are from NE... More

There were regular ninja shows; had a chance to use the shuriken. They also showed us the typical Ninja houses etc. It would be nice if everyone had a chance to wear a Ninja costume with a souvenir pictures It was a 1.5 hour train ride and it was a nice town . Outside the museum you can see ninja... More

I got to this place by bus with a tour group so I did not have to worry about finding any means of transportation there and back. I found this place quite interesting as we saw the ninja show, the ninja house with hidden doors and storages, and the museum. The show was quite entertaining, and I would suggest not... More

This place serves as a nice break from the big brothers: USJ, Aquarium, Osaka castle. It's a little far out and travelling time from osaka station to ueno-shi takes about 2 hours. However, since you are already in osaka, why not? One can rent ninja costumes and visit the museum in them. Rental for 2 kids about 2300¥. Ask for... More
