We came all the way to Iga for this ninja museum because of our child. It started with a very interactive guided tour. The exhibition is very informative so we got to learn a lot abt the real ninja rather than what we watched from telly or movies - indeed it was not easy to be one! they also have... More

Train frequency every hour, nothing every much to see. There is an Iga castle next to the museum. Ninja show was a good experience that you never find anywhere in the world. Worth it.

A place that any ninja fan must visit. You can take a look at the museum that has a lot of ninja stuff and at the end, you can go and see the ninja show. At the end of the show you can go to the Shuriken throwing arena and try some of your ninja skills.

despite the distance, and the low train frequency (which means you should plan in advance and get a copy of the train timetables), it's definitely worth a visit to this place. esp if you like ninjas and/or have kids (who will have a field time, getting a chance to dress up as ninjas as well). pay the extra 300yen for... We travelled from Nara to visit the Ninja Museum on a Sunday in February. It was not easy to get to; it took 2 trains and a taxi each way. The journey would have been easier on a weekday. Fortunately, the journey was worth the effort. There are many exhibits at the museum to see. There is also the Ninja... More

We visited here in passing from Ise to Kyoto. To be frank, we don't have, therefore, so high expectation. Performers gave demonstration Nija's real skills during 20 minutes. Approx. 15 Japanese children and 10 Australian children visiting the show cheered with voice of amazement. Famous Nija traditions are Koga and Iga. Hanzomon of the imperial residence in Tokyo was named... More

About 1.5 hours from Kyoto by trains or about 1 hour from/to Nagoya. Not too big, but quite interesting museum located in one of historic centres of ninjas. Museum contains some theatrical elements and live demonstration of surikens, ninja fighting etc.

You have to remember you're in the back waters of Japan and it's no high tech show, however these guys did a great job of entertaining us (great value), oh and our kids. The entire show is in Japanese and we were the only Westerners so they made an effort for the performers who could speak English. We even got... More
