The drive was very scenic and the roads all throughout were really good, the drive is mostly in forest and private estate road. Give a try if you have extra day to spend in Yercaud.

This road from Salem to Yercaud is the most favorable introduction to Yercaud. The road ,although 1x1,is quite good and well maintained. There is a toll of Rs 20 for the same. There are 20 hair pin bends. We did not experience much traffic on the way & that made the drive enjoyable. If there was even slightly more traffic ,it would not... More

On this road you will find a 180 degree hairpin turn every 5 min of the the journey. Preferred to take motion sickness pills on this route. It offers great view of tea gardens on the way.

The road has 21 pin heads to reach Yercaud. The road is in good conditions, so one doesnt mind driving along the curves. One sides is hill and tress and otherside offers nice view of plains.

But be careful not to stop as it may be dangerous for you and oncoming traffic alike . One highlight is that most... More

A circular trip around the hills, worth experimenting if you like to move around and ideally if you have a bike.
