well made and well maintained loop road to drive on. start early morning to get the most of it if you can. road gets a bit narrower at some places through the villages. this is different from the ghat road from salem to yercaud which itself is another pleasure to drive with all the hairpin bends. enjoy the coffee/tea breaks... I just loved driving on this road. The road is filled with hairpin bends but each is smooth and a real good experience. Do not try overtaking or do not loose your patience when stuck behind a bus/truck. Just enjoy every turn. I really loved it

Well maintained roads with gradual loops that are pleasnat to drive on and the scenic picture along the drive is beautiful. There are 20 hairpin bends but driver friendly.

What struck me is the quality of the tarmac and the cleanliness. With very low density of traffic and beautiful view through out its one of the best roads to drive on (closest to Bangalore).

Compared to other hairpin and loop roads in other hill stations, the Salem-Yercaud loop road gives a very nice experience. The road is very good and can drive and enjoy the road with less risk. 20 hairpin bends and the distance between the first two is longer and the rest 18 is shorter. Have a look downwards Salem city from... More

This road is very well maintained and well marked at the hairpin bends. Amidst lots of greenery, there are a few view points on the way where one can look into the valley and enjoy the beauty. The hairpin bends themselves aren't too difficult to navigate and have been widened making them easy to drive through. We saw a few... More

The Hairpin bends are really pretty. Also, there are a bit steep at places but certainly not unsafe. Its one scenic ride in close proximity to Bangalore.

The beauty of the hills can be felt while driving on this road. The cool and misty weather made it even more soothing & relaxing.
