This is a very deserted and unexplored place. But this is the best viewpoint in the whole of Yercaud. Lady seat, gents seat, children seat, grandma's seat, grand pa's seat, all that can take a bow.

It was little confusing to get to this point but basically follow your GPS to "Karadiyoor" village...keep going and on the left side of the road you will see a board that say "Watch Tower"...walk about 0.6km inwards from the board. Views are stunning and hardly anyone to disturb you.

Yercaud from almost all the view points you get a look at the very same view, nothing much diffrent. This was the only view point which had given a complete unique view. You have to park your vehicle and walk for almost a 1.5 KM to reach this place. As this route is quite deserted its advisable to carry a... More

It's a good view point. Still you may give it a miss if you are short of time. Have to be careful about the route as you may get lost without proper directions. However roads are OK.

We wnet there at around 6 PM when it was getting dark. Later we felt that we made a mistake of going there. This is located toward Naganur after Sri Chakra Maha Meru Temple. The road is in good condition and the drive was memorable. One need to park the car on the main road, and then walk for 1.5-2... More

The view from the watchtower here is worth the 0.5 km hike off the main road. While being really good, the view itself isn't extraordinarily different from many other places in the hills of South India. However, this is off the beaten track and so far quieter than most places. Aim to reach early in the morning and you could... More

When you see the gigantic mountains, the vegetation, the tell tale signs of waterfalls and the sounds of unseen animals and birds, you begin to feel very small in the whole scheme of things of the universe.

The roads leading to the view point are not tarred. You need an all terrain vehicle. If you have a regular car you would need to park on the tarred road and walk about one kilometer or more. At the end the views were great ! It was quite misty when we went so we couldnt see the town below... More
