Based on a suggestion from Lake Forest executive, we parked the car on the 32-km loop road at a signboard to Karadiyur. This is a km long walk to the edge and if you are the sort that has a fertile imagination - very scary. My wife, daughter and I walked along this path and finally reached a watch tower... More

This is the one and only view point which is worth going to in Yercaud! The view from here is breathtaking and one can see Salem town from here.

We stopped our car at Kardiyur view point and terribly upset with the very dirty walkway to the view point. So I kept driving further up and the we reached Black Pepper / Cofee plantation. Here the view was breathtaking. There is enough space to park your car and do trekking up hill/down hill.

About 9 Kms from the Yercaud town is Karadiyur village. There is a view point constructed by the forest department near Karadiyur village. A walk of about 30 minutes is required to reach the view point and one has to walk on uneven mud path. But it is worth the trouble since the view from view point is amazing and... More

The best view of the valley in Yercaud. But the last couple of kilometres appraoch to the watch tower is bad and can be covered only on foot. It has no sign posting and passes through a village

The best view point in Yercaud. A must see place in Yercaud. Dont miss this place, though it is bit far and have to walk half a kilometer inside the forest, but worth seeing. This is the best and breath-taking view point in Yercaud.

This is a very deserted and unexplored place. But this is the best viewpoint in the whole of Yercaud. Lady seat, gents seat, children seat, grandma's seat, grand pa's seat, all that can take a bow.

It was little confusing to get to this point but basically follow your GPS to "Karadiyoor" village...keep going and on the left side of the road you will see a board that say "Watch Tower"...walk about 0.6km inwards from the board. Views are stunning and hardly anyone to disturb you.
