After all the drive of the scenic attractions, its a good relaxing place. You could go boating or just walk around the lake.

It is a quite place to sit and unwind yourself. There are also lots of activities for kids, boating was a nice experience.Good place to enjoy some time with the family. We visited in the summers and this time of the year it's better to avoid the lake in the afternoon. If possible come during the evenings much better for enjoying

A fairly well maintained lake. A walk around the lake is worthwhile though the path is at places littered. Water level was low when we went there. Sitting on the benches and watching the water and enjoying the breeze and quite is worth it.

I have visited a lot of lakes in Ooty,Kodaikanal,Wayanad and hence did not find the BigLake a great attraction. Although it is a must visit for all the folks visiting Yercaud. The lake is scenic but hasnt been maintained well as one would expect. Boating is a good option if you want to laze around and eat some sun... We... More

It is a brilliant lake. Its massive in size. Entry fee is only 5 rs. A 4 seater pedal boat for 120 rs for half an hour is worth. Not very far from the hotel. It very good but very badly maintained. It is worth going atleast once.

OK if you are a bagpacker like me, and like to explore, the lake is a bad idea. the entire 5kms radius around the lake is a bad idea in yercaud. Its boring, full of uncouth boys who stare at you, its even worse if you have any one in white skin. So Lake is just a silly water body,... More

Four seater pedal boat for Rs 120 for half an hour is ideal. They give life jackets as well but more for look and feel rather than for utility as they are tied rather than buckled.

The lake is also known as emerald lake and it is the only natural lake among all hill stations in the southern part of India. This is a scenic lake wrapped in the lush greens and the mystical woods of Yercaud. The lake is at its full bloom during the month of May when the Summer Festival is organised. Boats... More

Low water level in the lake - hence the impact of going boating was not there. Clean life jackets must be provided to all tourists and made mandatory - in their own interest.

It is indeed a big lake situated in the middle of the town. The main attraction of the lake is boating. The boat ride is fun - paddle boat and row boats are available. Typical boat ride is for 15 mins - if you take the row boat the handler may take you around for longer for a small tip.... More
