Donadea Forest is a great place for a long walk, with the kids and dogs, or just for a quiet walk in the woods. Plenty of trails. There is a carp park within the grounds, but you will need cash (€4 in coins) at the gate, as it is not manned, or you could purchase an annual pass (€30). Car... More

Regularly go for a walk with the dog. Good facilities , in particular the pond. Also good place for a picnic when weather is nice.

My husband and I visited with our 3 small kids. It is a great space for walking. Some trash/rubbish on the ground. It would have been nice to see bins set up in different places to avoid people littering. I was disappointed at the €5 entrance fee as there are several places to walk around in the area for free.... It is a lovely natural park, families, walkers, dog owners all have a great time here as it is so large with plenty of tracks you can follow. There is a nice wooden hut teaaroom with a woodburner outside giving that smokey campfire aroma.Homemade scones a delight. There is a small lake you can walk around also there is a commemorative statue of the... Myself and my partner took our 9 month old here for a stroll. At first, we were startles by the sign which indicated an admission fee of €5 for a car which we felt a bit steep for a cold mid week afternoon. However, on driving onwards to the car park the barrier was raised and accordingly no fee was... More

Very nice place for a walk. Great pathways for bikes and buggies. However, some of the walks could do with much more signage. We were following the Alymer 5 km walk but on several occasions arrived at a crossroads and there was nothing to say which direction to go. Great coffee shop open most days. Seating is outside with a... More

This would be a nice place to walk if it did not cost so much money, 5 euro and you must have the exact change so sometimes there is a big delay to get in as someone in front of the cue does not have it.be warned do not leave anything in your car.

Visited here with the family & was disappointed that such a lovely scenic place is ruined with litter & dog mess. Would not be in a hurry to return.

Great local Forrest to chill out in. Especially good on Boxing Day when they organize music and other treats. Santa is always in attendance pre Christmas. In the summer months it's great for brisk walks. A gem.

This forest is a short drive from Dublin and many neighbouring towns of Kildare so it's very much a family oriented area .It contains vests amounts of evergreen trees and has lovely walks and some vast green areas also. There is a lovely old castle ruin on the Site and also contains a old Church of Ireland building. In the summertime... More
