By circumstance of timing, we were able to make the show and glad we did. The intricate footwork and swordplay takes stamina and attention to detail - yes, those sparks are real as a result of metal-on-metal collisions. Advise sitting a few rows back from the front if possible. Also, the choir singing was hauntingly beautiful.

To be on the island of Korcula and not see Moreška is unforgivable mistake!!! Historical war dance of red and black warriors take your breath away.

Good mix of local chorus music (excellent vocal group) - then the sword-dance show. It starts out a little slow - but they get into it and literally the sparks - and some blood fly. Do it!

I don't normally like this sort of thing as I usually find it a bit cheesy, but decided to give it a try. This was well worth it. The event started with traditional singing by an all male group ,singing in beautiful harmony. The start of the dance sets the scene and reason for the actual sword dance. Damsel gets... More

We sat at the front for this show even though we were warned the front was dangerous. All hype and bravado. The only thing that hit us were beads of sweat as the men were leaving. The singing at the start was beautiful. The dancing started slow with men walking around in a circle. Then more walking around in a... More

The Moreska was great really entertaining, the only problem we had was we where told that the Moreska was at the summer cinema so we headed there to be told it was actually at the winter cinema but the directions we where given were pretty vague but eventually we found it and really enjoyed our evening.

This is a great show - the dancers have incredible timing! Bit pricey, but worth supporting this centuries old tradition which has been passed down local families for generations.
