Enjoyed by us as well as our children, 11 and 13. Choreographed sword dance. Held at night so you can actually see sparks fly as the swords clash. One guy's hand got cut, so he kept having to mop it up!!

The sword dance used to be performed all over the Mediterranean and now only on Korcula, so feel privileged to have seen it. Lovely setting where it's performed but get tickets and arrive at least half an hour early to get good seats. The dancers put their heart and soul into the performance and well worth a watch.

Sometimes you hear about this sort of thing and wonder whether it is some corny attraction just for tourists. No! This is the real deal...don't miss it. The show is only on Thursday nights. 9:00 PM, for one hour. BUT be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a good seat (well, not a huge deal...it is... More

We were advised by our tour rep that the sword dancing in Korcula town was something not to be missed, and she wasnt wrong. We were informed that it was a traditional dance passed down generations of the same families on Korcula and you could tell that there was great pride in being able to do this. It is definitely... Wow what a fantastic experience. We had an early dinner in town and then made our way to the green door of the theatre (just to the left of the main steps to the old city) and were first in the queue and therefore able to get front row seats. One of the older dancers suggested we moved further back... More

I read about this sword dance before and was sure that I wanted to see that. And I was not disappointed at all! Entrance fee: 100 HRK/person, took approx. 30 min. I was really admiring the actors/dancers, because they must be very close to collapse, it was around 35 deg. Moreover, there was hidden Anthony Hopkins taking part at the... More

Being lucky enough to travel and enjoy the folk traditions from another place is why we travel. The Moreska was colourful, exhilarating and a credit to the people of Korcula. Keep it up! The female Klapa singers were superb and the members of a young band did a great job. We were lucky enough to see part of it again... More

We paid £10 and booked the day before. It starts at 9pm so we had dinner at 7pm and then made sure we arrived fairly early as advised. We managed to get front row seats. Initially the performance started with dancing in costume. This is followed by beautiful singing. Then what we've all be waiting for the men with swords!... More
