Well worth a visit at Blackstock point. Ability to go down to the waters edge, walk around the lake and take in the beautiful scenery with limited tourism which is seem around some of the other larger lakes.

We loved the lake and the surrounding area. It was peaceful and calm and we will visit the area again.

St Bega's church is a must, so pretty and peaceful. Such a beautiful location by the lake but very hard to find

well worth a visit if you're in the North Lakes. Plenty of stop off opportunities around the Lake for children or adults to enjoy bird watching and the stunning views. The top end has lakeside pubs and restaurants.

None of the commercialism that other lakes have, just lovely scenery, woodland walks and a few hotels. Skiddaw can be accessed from the lake side. A no hassle place with quiet roads.

Amazing scenery takes about two and a half hours to walk around all of the lake. Unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, be sure to pop to the loo before you start your walk as there are no facilities half way round !

Decent access, with large 'lay bys' at the side of the main road. No formal pathway from the road to the lake, but the ground was mostly level after steps down from the gate to the viewing point.
