We arrived around dinner time and so our first stop was the small cafe, which at first sight I thought was a little sparse on the food, there were sandwiches wrapped in cling film and home made soup which on the day was lentil. Anyways we had the soup which was absolutely lovely with crusty bread and butter. The sandwiches... More

We visited from Keswick although the drive there was a bit busy the place itself was lovely, lots of animals to see, staff talks and great little cafe for resting up after visiting all the animals. More

Went with children and had a lovely day out. Plenty to keep them entertained, and found it fun myself. Feeding time is clearly advertised with the different animals, so there was plenty to learn about and plenty to do. Would highly recommend. Even though it was raining, we didn't mind as plenty to see and enough shelter when needed. More

Lots of things to see in this small but wonderful wildlife park. We particularly enjoyed seeing the birds of prey fly around just above our heads & the keeper who gave the talk was very informative. My partner loved the baby lemurs & couldn't keep away from them! More

We took our 2 year old and she loved being able to get close to the animals in a way you can't in mainstream zoos. Some kind of animal experience every hour through the day, from stroking snakes with enthusiastic and charismatic staff to getting swooped by birds of prey. Cafe was good too - chip butties were great. Would... More

We LOVE Trotters. It's near enough to us for a day out and not too big that it loses the personal touch. Don't miss out on seeing the Birds of Prey Talk, or Reptile Encounter. Keepers seem friendly and happy to answer any other questions you or your child may have. One of my son's favourite animals is the Tapir,... More
