This attraction is a must for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. We travelled south from Matera where we were based and the drive there is about 1 hour. Driving there is a challenge however because once you leave the autostrada you are on winding roads and climbing to a high altitude so plan your journey well and... More

Before we came into the town we saw some people gliding on the steel cables from mountain to mountain and me and my wife both were thinking wether we should fo it or not. We had the morningflight and were pretty nervous. After a long climb we arrived at the start station. Our kids started inmediately so we could not... More

After debating the best point to start, we chose Castelmezzano as the walk to the launch area is far more arduous and we were advised it made sense to do the hardest walk first and get it out of the way and then return from Pietrapertosa (short but quite steep walk to the launch through town but not very well... We booked this on the internet in advance and booked Castelmezzano to Pietrapertosa. We parked on the side of the road in Castelmezzano and walked to the tourist office to collect our tickets. It’s about a 10 minute quick walk through the town to get there and so leave some time. It’s signposted but we did almost walk past it.... More

Started off in castelmezzano and think this is the best way round to do it. 5 minute walk to the ticket office but then quite a long wait for the mini bus to take us up to the start of the 20 minute walk to the first station. It was really hot so remember to bring water because it's quite... More

It was €75 for a couple flight, but with a great day for weather and a sense of adventure we had a fantastic journey. You get two flights and choosing both departure and return times we made a day out of it by exploring Pietrapertosa and eating there. Be prepared to hike a little and bring water. The staff were... This was the most thrilling thing I have ever tried. Once I got over the first drop off, I stopped screaming. Too terrified to scream? Maybe. Still, it's an experience of a lifetime! The pictures they offer to sell you are reasonable priced, and it only cost 17 euros to rent a GoPro - definitely worth it! I think it's... More

My husband and I just returned from a day trip from matera to Castelmezzano and pietrapertosa. We drove to and parked in Castelmezzano, took the zip line to Pietrapertosa, had a truly exceptional lunch at a terraced restaurant, and then took the zip line back. It was a very unique and lovely day in the mountains. We did not have... More

If you are looking for the experience which allows you to fly this is the one!I have done it and I can say it is unique, even I get used to high mountains this flying trip is amazing. You need to make a reservation and be sure it is open.

The flying is unique amazing experience highly recommended, team is great, really worth the travel, there is room for improvement 1) not enough signage to the tickets office 2) no explanation or material in English 3) the way to the first station includes significant challenging walking uphill that was not mentioned at the beginning Bottom line, recommended but be aware...
