I booked online via their website and reserved two tickets. This was about 2 weeks before we were to arrive in the area. They contacted me a couple days before the trip and said they were closed due to misunderstandings with the state owned park. They offered a refund or a change of date. I have requested a refund 4... In the town of Pietrapertosa in the heart of the Basilicata you will find "Il Volo del Angelo" or the "Flight of the Angel" a zip line that carries you between two mountain towns - Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano in the Lucanian Dolmites. I took took this zip line in September 2013 and had a fabulous exhilarating experience and had breathtaking... More

If really keen to do this check with them when they are open! We saw the starting point and it looked like a real adrenaline trip but all closed up.

We did the Volo dell'Angelo in a party of four and started from Castelmezzano to Pietrapertosa having booked online. On arrival in Castelmezzano there was a tourist information booth that directed us to the ticket office to collect our tickets. Everything seemed well organised from the ticket office, to the mini-bus that ferried us to near the departure point (15... More

Well, this really is one of the best amazing things I've done in my life. After a few minutes walk on the mountain near Castelmezzano, we arrived at the first "launching" station. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the also helped me with my GoPro. After wearing the helmet and the harness, they linked me to the cable and... More

I went today to do my "flight". It was hailing when we first arrived at Castelmezzano. They told me to wait to see if flight can happen later. We waited 40 minutes and the hail stopped but it was still sprinkling and there were tons of lightening! They told me "Okay. Flight go!" ARE YOU NUTS??!?!?! There is lightening everywhere!!... More

Great entertainment between two charming villages in Basilicata (1h15 drive from Matera) at 1000m high. You totally fly! It is a bit scary but very fun and exciting. You can purchase tickets online. It's very professional and secure. I recommend also the walk between the two villages, short (1hour) but it goes up and down a lot, partly under the... More
