We were excited about the chance to see the exhibit. If you go be sure to buy the audio tour. As we went from room to room the excitement builds until you get to Tut's tomb, but there was no golden coffin. It is on every piece of advertising they have but it is not there. We did enjoy ourselves... more

This exhibit is expensive, but worth the price if you consider the age of the pieces (over 3,000 years old) and the magnificent displays of each work of art. We went Sunday, October 26. The flow of museum patrons went very well. The most impressive feature is the age of the content and objects are very well preserved. If you... more

My friend and I brought her mother to the King Tut exhibit on Wednesday, October 15th. Overall, the exhibit was incredible and well done. The flow of people worked well and the addition of the audio tour enhanced our experience. The only "snag" we encountered was the lack of wheelchair availability. We waited for over an hour for one of... more

I thought the King Tut exhibit was a real let down. First, the parking...if you were unlucky enough to find a meter the parking was $15. We went to the exhibit Sunday, Oct. 12th. Admission was $40+ (each) with the audio tour. The exhibit itself was about 45 minutes long...depending on how much time you spent with each item. Most... more

Went to the Oct. 4 showing of the King Tut exhibit. Drove 4 hours and spent two nights in the Dallas area to see the Exhibit. Parking in the area is about $15-20 per car, and entering in to the exhibit itself took about 10 minutes or so, not a long wait at all. There are rooms that "work' you... more

While the DMA is amazing, save your money and skip the 30-50 dollar exhibit. The exhibit takes you from room to room, learning about his ancestors and getting closer and closer to TUT. The artifacts are interesting, but it felt like everything was building. The last couple of rooms start you out with the organ containers,,, then a video of... more

As a Dallas veteran, I always go to the DMA when I am visiting home. There are always great exhibits and increases to the collections. more

Excellent shows, currently J.M.W. Turner and Onderdonk exhibits are outstanding. Cafe on ground level has tasty salads, reasonable prices. The 1717 restaurant has delicious food. The King Tut exhibit is coming in the fall of 2008. Makes for a good visit. more

Although not particularly attractive on the outside, the DMA has some great art within its walls. My favorite was an American painting called "The Icebergs". I also really liked the sculpture garden and some of the ancient art. I was surprised how much Asian art there was. This is a large museum and there's a lot to see. It's definitely... more
