Amastris Hotel's website is very misleading. The website has lovely photos of clean, spacious rooms with mini refrigerators, lovely views of the Amasra Bay, air conditioning, and a large pool with a pool bar. We found out about this monastery by accident but it was one of the highlights to our time in Turkey. Located in beautiful mountains with clear streams the monastery has been partially restored and makes a great place to spend a day.
