From almost out of nowhere appears the Tides Hotel, hidden discreetly on the beautiful East Coast of Tanzania. We had looked at websites and photo's but nothing had quite prepared us for what we found. The location is superb especially for beach fans and the accommodation was first class. Very comfortable rooms, bar and restaurant made for the perfect honeymoon.... more

Looking for a half term destination that included warmth,animals, swimming , relaxation ,few tourist s and no jet lag we alighted on Tanzania. We arrived by dhow from Zanzibar, which although utterly beautiful itself we never truly felt relaxed. This all changed when we reached Ushongo Beach in Pangani.
