I spent the night there with my wife and son. We did not book. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Not a place to have a holiday but good for one night while travelling further. My husband, our 21-year-old daughter and I stayed in the Dery Yire Hotel in Techiman in October, 2006, when we flew to Ghana to visit our daughter during her UC Berkeley semester abroad program. We were booked into the Dery Yire Hotel--otherwise known as the "Dreary Hotel"--by our tour guide. I do believe we were the only guests that night.... more

We stayed in Techiman on our way to Mole National Park. In hindsight, Techiman was a mistake, as there was little to do. We recommend staying in Kumasi (at the Four Villages Inn!) both on your way up to Mole and on your way back, to help break up the long, bumpy drive. The Premier Palace was a huge disappointment.... more
