On a recent trip to Brazil I flew to Alta Floresta was transferred by car for 1 hour then boat for 30 minutes to the Cristalino River Lodge. I felt like I was truly off the beaten path. To get to the Cristalino Jungle Lodge, you must first get to Alta Floresta. We were met at the airport in Alta Floresta and then taken to the Floresta Amazonica Hotel (which owns the Cristalino Jungle Lodge) and then to a very nice restaurant where food is buffet style and the charge is "per kilo" of the weight of the... more
