Recently went to Sri Lanka with Mercury Direct, firstly did the week cultural tour which was wonderful - would thoroughly recommend doing - what an experience, well organised, had our own car with our own guide and stayed at some incredible hotels. If you want local bars resuraunts and some sort of nightlife however tame you will not find it here. decent rooms repetative food and indifferent management and the one glass of local wine rule with your evening meal does nothing to enhance ypur stay so after 5 days we opted out choosing negumbo as a better option. We have recently come back from spending a wonderful relaxing holiday in Sri Lanka and then on to the Maldives.
