This is a lovely, large area at the end of Upper Canyon Rd. run by the Audubon Society. It was the home of artist Randall Davey who deeded the land to the society. This is a modern, round building which offers tours of the building and displays much quality New Mexican art work on all the walls and on every floor throughout the building. It is free and unusual for a state capitol, there is no security check when you enter. It is across from the Visitors Center on Old Santa Fe Trail. more
Museum of Fine Arts

This museum is right off the plaza. It started almost 90 years ago and has excellent exhibits of art work, primarily New Mexico artists including Georgia O'keeffe, Maria Martinez, Luis Tapia, etc. The museum is free on Friday evenings from 5 to 8 PM. This should be a must for art lovers. more
