This was an absolutely great find. We had the run of the upstairs of this lovely guest house which included one double room. One twin room. One enourmous lounge with TV/DVD/Highfi/Tea/coffee facilities. The hosts were absolutely lovely and joined us for breakfast. My stay at the Dannemora Motor Inn was terrible, the owner seriously lacks professional behaviour with customers. The look on her face says that I need therapy. Having read the reviews I was a bit wary but this place is conveniently close to the airport (and easy to find) yet far enough away that (I thought) it would avoid flight noise - unfortunately it seems to be quite close to the flightpaths and Auckland Airport doesn't seem to have a night time curfew. It was quite cheap... more
