Visited Fairbanks area in Fall 2009. This is actually a decent time to visit due to most tourists being gone for the season. Trout fishing is still a go and I recommend a fly-in, overnight trip. Some are closed up already, but we found several that were still open. Take the train from Fairbanks to Anchorage! It runs only 1... more

I unequivocally recommend Dale and Jo View Suites for any stays in Fairbanks. The house is beautifully appointed in the guest rooms and common spaces. We were given a complimentary upgrade to the executive suite since it was the winter low season.
