Best Western Bainbridge Island Suites

Great location and great hotel. My son and I were unable to find a room in Seattle and ended up staying on Bainbridge Island. We had a great time riding the Ferry to City. We loved the island and the hotel was great - great location - large room. more

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. We called Ashton Woods on a whim and luckily they'd had a cancellation for one night last weekend. We headed over on the ferry, a short 30 minute ride from downtown Seattle. From the moment we arrived, Steven and Christopher made us feel at home and pampered. Best of all,... more

Ashton Woods is truly amazing and by far one of the most beautiful places on Bainbridge Island. When my wife and I researched where to stay in Seattle for our week's vacation we first looked at staying at a four star hotel. But somehow an average room with thin walls, mediocre service, and over priced parking among other things just... more

Best Western Bainbridge Island Suites

This hotel was really nice at first glance, but as the night wore on it showed more annoying aspects. The room was quite large with a large kitchen area (though no sink), and large bathroom. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful (though the man at the desk seemed to have limited knowledgable about the area he did... more

Madoka

Aug 10, 2008

I've been to Madoka twice with my family and both times have had very poor service. Coincidence? I don't know. Our meals arrived an hour and a half after we did, and we had to ask for bread to tide us over. It was not offered. The place, in May, 2008, the time of our last visit, was drafty and... more

Steven and Christopher made our stay at Ashton Woods magical. We decided on Tuesday to get married on Saturday. We thought getting married was a good excuse for quick getaway. After researching B&B’s in the area, I called Ashton Woods to ask if there was a vacancy and miraculously there was. We were just looking for a quick getaway but... more

Bainbridge Thai Cuisine

My wife is very picky when it comes to Thai... this is one of the few Thai restaurants she has enthusiastically returned to... The owner and his wife are always in the restaurant and are very friendly and pleasant... It's within walking distance of the ferry, just a block off the main street, Winslow Way.... We live on Bainbridge and... more

The Eagle Harbor Inn

Jul 25, 2008

Eagle Harbor Inn is a boutique residence that provides top of the line accomodations, a great location (15 minute walk from Bainbridge Island Ferry), walking distance to good food, movies, shopping and the like. We chose this property because we did not want to rent a car. It was beyond what one normally finds in this location and we'd say... more

This was the most relaxing vacation I think I've ever had. Bainbridge Island is a very relaxing 30 minute ferry ride over from Seattle, and Ashton Woods is a leisurely drive through the loveliest, most tranquil forest. This was our first visit to the Seattle area, and I don't think we could have picked a more wonderful place to stay... more

Service was good, but they have some problems. Food was not fresh and not very well prepared. The restaurant it self seems to be over run with flies. So, if you like flies and enjoy paying lots of money for very average food this is the place for you. Island resident more

This is not your run-of-the-mill Victorian B&B. But it is the best B&B we've ever stayed in! Perhaps because it truly is "unique", more modern and updated version of a B&B. The setting on an island in the middle of the woods is very peaceful and relaxing and this is exactly what we needed on our 10yr anniversary. There are... more

My boyfriend and I just spent an amazing weekend at Ashton Woods Retreat. We stayed at The Loft and loved every single seconds we spent at The Retreat. I have never stayed at a B&B before. Didn’t want to deal with hosts who "tried too hard" plus I always feel uncomfortable in a stranger’s home. But for some reason, Ashton... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and were very impressed. The suite was pretty big and very clean. Everything was very new. Parking was great. It's free, and they have an underground garage that they lock after dark. The hotel is located across the street from Safeway (a grocery store) and many small restaurants/cafes. We actually went... more

Skiff Point Guest House

Jul 3, 2008

We stayed in the Guest House for 5 days and had the most wonderful experience in our life! We loved the Skiff Point Guest House's panaramic view of the most magnificient mountian ranges and Puget Sound. The House was tastefully decorated and filled with anything we needed to make us comfortable, including a delicious basket of food in the refridgerator... more

While the food here was quite tasty, we had so many problems getting it that it was not worth the wait. First of all, more than one table of people around us ordered well after we did, and were served their food more than 20-30 minutes before us. One couple next to us was seated without menus, had parts of... more

My brother and sister live near this restaurant, and eat there very often. I live off of the island, but still eat there at least once a month. If a group goes to the Lynwood Theater for a movie, I always suggest a meal at Sawan Thai after the movie. Try to go on a Friday or Saturday evening, when... more

Winslow Way Cafe

Nice staff, but expect kids to wait on you, and worse, kids to cook--not professionals. Idiot management—especially the middle aged balled guy who is crude and surly with customers and clueless about the service industry. Drinks are good. Food, consistently, sucks. Preparation is uneven. If you get the Executive Chef, you might to OK. However, beware of the assistants. Expect... more

The Eagle Harbor Inn

Jun 27, 2008

My wife, 2 teen daughters and I just spent 3 nights at Eagle Harbor. We loved it. Beautifully maintained, located with a perfect view of the harbor, and within just feet of Winslow shopping. The facility was great (including garaged parking for the townhome with an elevator to the 2 floors), gourmet kitchen. I could not have asked for a... more
