Having carefully perused the recent reviews of Scott's Hotel, I can only conclude that all but one of them must have been staying at another hotel having a similar name. We were seduced by the advertisements and press articles claiming that this hotel (and a sister establishment in Gallilea) were idyllic, comfortable and offering superior levels of service. None of... more

Well located and loads of character, but service (or lack of) lets this hotel down. The rooms are beautifully furnished and there is potential for it to be a wonderful property, but there are a few things that need improving - the breakast is poor, the staff at breakfast are miserable and almost 'dinner lady' like and there is nobody... more

Absolute heaven. A dream of a small hotel, with exquisite furnishings, a wonderful ambience of easy luxury, and the best hosts. A quiet haven in a sleepy town, this is paradise for those discerning few, who are seeking something a bit special! For example, the bar is a most beautiful little room leading out into the courtyard, with an 'honesty'... more

The website at Scotts gives a real flavour of how beautful it is, but nothing quite prepares you for the real thing. Binnesalem is a quiet graceful town, whose charms sneaks up on you, unlike a lot of places on Mallorca. The hotel is discreet, and almost unnoticable from the outside, but step in to the cool dark hallway, through... more

Came down to Scott´s Townhouse after several great days at the Galilea place in the mountains. Just as wonderful, but different -- much more elegant and more like a hotel, though they still don´t like people to think of them as a hotel: no room service, no TV sets (hurrah!), no lift (it´s a listed building) and no bartender (again... more

Just returned from a brilliant 5 day break in Scott’s. Having read some of the other reviews here I wondered what it would be like. Let’s be clear, if you want a standardised international hotel with room service and a nice little tea tray in your room, this isn’t for you. Built in a totally renovated historic building, each room... more

Scotts is a small nicly furnished hotel/ guest house..not sure how best to describe it, in a superb building in the centre of this delightful real Majorcan village. The bedrooms are cosy and welcoming. Their standard rooms are not big but it is not that sort of place. All the facilities are there, tea and coffe making kitchen, cool drinks... more

We stayed for 3 nights and had a very relaxing time. Beds wonderful as are breakfasts, staff are very friendly. No negatives apart from maybe lack of places to eat although Scotts own bar and bars on the square were of high quality more

Scotts what can i say?! A lot actually! I've been back twice so far, both times to the chinese room which has a terrace just down the corridor. I actually feel it's my terrace as many guests will also acknowledge as I've been out there in my nightie! Not by choice i, just forgot i was on holiday! The rooms... more

Having just returned from 3 days at Scotts Hotel, I have to say its a very pleasant experience in a very nicely restored winery. The old wine town of Binnisalem was unbelievably quiet with no where to eat well apart from Scots restaurant in the town. However, the wonderful Mrs Scott who appears to be a font of knowledge on... more

Situated in an uninspiring and not very attractive town.Nowhere to eat apart from Scotts own restaurant which was OK(unless you count some pretty basic restaurants in the square, which when on a short break staying at a "boutique hotel" is not ideal!) The hotel has advertises a pool. This is the most unattractive pool i have ever seen-completely under cover, small, cold and not... more

I had to carry a heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs with a broken shoulder. Car parking outside is highly risky. Breakfast is a disappointment and the honesty bar ended with me paying for some other guests round of beers. Evenings become a real problem for eating and relaxing, with a small room and nowhere else to go in... more

I came across this hotel on the internet, and was impressed with the site, and thought i would give it a go. Well, what can I say,Binissalem is certainly not the most beautiful place on Mallorca, and offers little in the way of (quality) restaurants or bars, apart from Scotts Bistro, which is OK to go to once during your stay but thats enough.... more

I recently came accross your web page where I read a review of Scotts Hotel in Binnisalem. I stayed at Scotts last year during a whirlwind trip around the beautiful Island of Mallorca. Whilst the hotel itself is quite pleasant, its hype does not live up to its reality. In short it pretends to be something it is not, a... more

We stumbled upon Scott's after a booking error at a neighbouring hotel left us homeless for the night, and were amazed at the hospitality and charm that met us. The perfectly preserved 18th-century town of Binissalem is well off the usual tourist track, and was a great base for exploring Mallorca's many hidden treasures. I have persistent back problems which... more
