Requested an easily accessible room as wife has walking difficulties. Arrived mid-afternoon, room not ready, but given bracelet and suggested a drink for half an hour till it was. Very pleasant reception. Room spacious and well-appointed, cleaned and fresh towels daily, met the maids once, pleasant girls. This is the complaint email I sent to Travel Republic.........We wish to make a complaint and request a refund for being overcharged by this hotel for telephone charges made from our hotel room. Next to the phone, it gave a price list of international call charges at 0.40 euros per unit. We took this is being the equivelant of 40p... more

Hotel Pinhal Do Sol, situated about 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) on the outskirts of Quarteira, is a two storey, good basic, very quiet hotel in need of a bit of attention, for example, paint freshened up, rooms - although they are relatively clean - given a thorough clean, “a good bottoming”, as some people would call it.
