We ate here because it was in the lodge where we were staying. Nice view of lake. Very basic decor but good old southern comfort food and pleasant service. Fried chicken, ribs, and fried trout were very good. For breakfast the next day, biscuits with butter and honey were heavenly! more
We visited early November on a Monday/Tuesday. Beautiful location. Right on Blue Ridge Parkway in VA. Most of Visitor Centers and Camping closed after November 1. We chose this hotel for a 2 night stay while travelling through Va. We only lasted 10 minutes in the room and checked out. We were told that our booked room(non-smoking) was not available as they were having plumbing issues on one side of the hotel. The manager said we would be getting the room she usually holds for her... more
