The Arion Hotel and Spa, part of the Astir Palace compound with the Westin, has amazing rooms and an incredible beach on a secluded private beach ( a rarity in Greece). Well, this wasn't the best choice for a relaxing vacation, after all. I planned very carefully my trip to Greece with my mother. Resort is off the beaten path, but very nicely located on the coast just outside (~25 miles) of Athens. Perfect place to relax or use as a base for day trips. This hotel was beautiful with wonderful service and gorgeous views. However, if had to pick between this hotel and its neighbor, the Westin Astir Palace, I would pick the Westin, especially when you consider that the Westin is slightly cheaper. The pool and patio area are larger, the room service food is better and the rooms are equally as nice. more

I returned to Athens for a business trip and stayed at Amarilia's again as I was very satisifed from my previous stay. Things got even better!
