Our Real Estate agent took us to The Monument for lunch on our second visit to Georgetown from California. Being of Southern heritage, I was very happy to have a ordered a piece of fried peach pie ( a turnover. folks) just like my dear Grandmother Bonnie Blasingame Haltom used to make! Everything was perfect and very pretty. I would suggest to ask for a room on the back side to alleviate any Interstate traffic noise. Read other reviews that are 5 circles and that is what you get. more

My husband and I stopped at the Monument Cafe for lunch on our way from Dallas to San Antonio. The food was fresh and flavorful; my husband had the fried catfish, and I had the grilled chicken breast with herb butter. The vegetables, including the steamed spinach, had unbelievably great taste!
