At a special rate of ca. € 170 including breakfast and dinner (off season) I received excellent value. The hotel is an intimate gem in the center of Guernsey, exuding old world charm with a typical British note. The service was very good (pre-arrival and post-stay questionnaires by e-mail), the food also (for British standards). With some outside heaters and... more

Standard rooms are basic with small tv. We booked a double but got a twin room as we were only staying for 2 days we didn't bother asking for a change. We could have done without the 7.30am knock for cleaning, followed by 3 more knocks during the morning when we were due to leave at 11am. No Do Not... more

I came here to visit family and friends, have been to Guernsey many times. Karen and Ian are the owners. This hotel has been revamped and has been done to a really high standard. The lounge is comfortable and with a huge TV, its next to the bar which then leads through to a really nice garden. The decor through... more

This is the first review I've written about a hotel, but the fermain valley is well worth it. We stayed there recently and had a wonderful time, I traveled with my partner and would like to say a huge thank you to Lee the duty manager at the time for making us feel so welcome on our first trip together.... more

I do not live in Guernsey but am moved to comment on this restaurant as it is quite outstanding. We are frequent visitors to Guernsey and always recommend to friends that they should experience the outstanding attention to detail that is always present at Da Nello's. The welcome is genuine. The service is quite superb as is the food in... more

Having read the reviews for this restaurant I am amazed about the people who have had bad experiences. We have eaten at Christies twice, admittedly it is a busy place, but the food was very good. We liked the choice on the menu, the atmosphere and the good selection of wines. I would not recommend anyone to "walk on by!" more

Can only say on arrival and checking into the room to which we were very dissapointed in, we promptly checked out and moved to another hotel. On arriving and parking in the front carpark and being hassled by locals trying to use the bar, we found there was no one available in reception and had to us a telephone to... more

I eat out two or three times a week in Guernsey and, at first Mora was a welcome change from its sister restaurant, Da Nello ( see my scathing review of that restaurant ). The food was different, the views fantatsic and the ambience great. Unfortunately the menu has hardly changed, the quality of the food has deteriorated, the service... more

Da Nello's is a Guernsey institution at least that is what the publicity states. i have been going there for the past twenty years. My son had his first ever meal out there and still thinks it is the best place in Guernsey. It is always spotlessly clean. It actually closes for one month a year for staff holidays and... more

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was conveniently located and very clean. It is small; only 34 rooms. The hotel has two restaurants -- the Wellington Boot and the Grill and a bar (the Saddle Bar) where you can also eat. We were a little confused about which was which but ended up eating in the Grill one... more

Beautiful location if you want a tranquil setting (apart from the occasional boy-bike-racer using the long straight to smash the islands 35mph limit). Hotel could be spectacular if refurbished but I guess the room rates would be also. Decor of rooms a bit tired, white melamine wardrobe, beds adequate, bathroom shower did not fit shower holder, but had space to... more

We have just returned from a long weekend at Moores, and can say we was happily impressed. We do not often stay in chain hotels. However we was very happy with our experience with this Best Western Hotel. We had 2 suites on the top floor which considering what we paid for them were very nice and good value for... more

Nice hotel with 2star hotel room AA classed but to my taste 4star gastronomy and staff. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I would most certainly return to it again. Food well served and excellent. One morning I had the best kipper for breakfast I have ever tasted. The steak is good. Amount of food adequate although I could... more

Since Seamus ( ex- Simply Ireland ) came back to Guernsey and took on Saltwater truning it into Pier 17 this restaurant has one from good to excellent. It is nearly always fully booked by locals and very difficult to get into on a Friday or saturday - something must be good. The food is seamus's usual very high standard... more

Fantastic views over the harbour from our balcony, room very comfortable, spacious and spotless. The food in the restaurant was beautifully cooked and presented. However.....on one night the bar ran out of Martini, my favourite pre-dinner drink, and our choice of wine to go with our meal while the alternatives offered were over twice the price. Very disappointing. The waitering... more

I have been a fan of The Boat House for years but I believe that recently it may have new owners? I have had numerous enjoyable meals there with friends who have been visiting me in Guernsey.
