This is our first choice for casual dining in Newport. Chowder and the Capitan's plate. We get the chowder "Slumgolian" style with added bay shrimp. The homemade chips are great. Location couldn't be better at Nye Beach. We have been coming here for years and appreciate the consistency. more

We were not alone getting lost trying to find the front door to the brewery!!! But, they had a sale going on that was WONDERFUL! Got a whole case of beer to last for months for $19! I visited this establishment because of the great reviews, but I was disappointed. Our server never smiled or spoke to us. She is in the wrong business. The table was propped up on one leg with filthy wads of paper. The place felt dirty. The toast was burnt. Serving size was large but not overly so, and I value quality... more
