“Dangerous Place, Bad Area, Got Attacked There Once”

Go at your own risk, but be aware that people have been attacked while going in and out. You have to run the gauntlet of beggars to get in, avoid the drunks inside (they serve beer), and hope you aren't mugged when you leave. I was attacked out front recently. We have eaten here several times and it has been okay... but last night was horrible. They served me a cup of tomato crab bisque which smelt like dirty dish water. Tasted like it too. Was that a joke? It made me sick. My husband had the P.L.T... a pork tenderloin dish... extremely dry. I had to take a drink... more

second visit to the Skirvin the other being in 2007. fabulously restored and I rate their restaurant better than other establishments charging more. With rooms you get what you pay forbut hey I don't go on holiday to spend my time in a hotel room. Staff were friendly [ perhaps the English accent helps ] and helpful. I shall possibly... more
