We stayed at Sensatori Resort, Crete in September 2009 for two weeks. We have stayed at many 5 star resorts (especially spa resorts) around the world and this was definitely not 5 star. You need a car - this place is isolated and the shuttle is of limited use. Everything about the resort was good. The golf course is very tough (especially in high winds!) with too many blind shots and is in excellent condition. Recommend visits to Knossos, Iraklion museum, Malia, Phaistos, Lassithi plateau and all the villages along the way. Much... more

Me and my Partner went at the very end of the season - Which I wouldn't really recommend for Crete in general. Most of the touristy parts were shut up and parts of the Island felt like a ghost town.
