Murphy, NC was a great trip with older children. There are so many activities to do outside, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, zip lines, fishing, visiting local stores on the square, and a great flea market on Sat and Sun, complete with fresh fried pork skins and peanuts! more

If you are going to visit the Smokies, make sure to stop in Murphy, NC - good food, wonderful people, and very reasonable - if you can't relax there, you have a serious problem... more
