We stayed at the main hotel. Our travel agent somehow screwed up our reservation for 3 people and had booked us at the second building down the road around the corner. I did not have high expectations for the Traveler's Rest Hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. If you are going gorilla trekking in Nkuringo then this probably the only place to stay within a reasonable distance. The managers were a Dutch couple who were very pleasant going out of their way to greet anyone and make them feel at home.... more

This is one of the better accomodation options beside lake Bunyonyi. If you don't have your own tent you have a choice of either of room or furnished tent (try ones on wooden platform!!!). Well... if you want a hotel full of history in a border town with Congo and Ruanda, this is the place for you. Rooms are good. African standard.
