We just stayed at the Golden arrow in lake placid on Oct 8, 2008. Our room was in the hay stack. Great location and super clerk that checked us in. My disappointment came when I got into the room with a sticky and dirty bathroom floor. The new style vessel type sink was gross. the plumbers putty was left around... more

We have stayed in lots of hotels and this one is not on the top of our list. I do have to say, that without the new Tempurpedic beds, we would have been very discouraged, given the outdated bedding, furniture, etc. The rooms need alot of work (cracks in bathroom door and tiles, safety latch broken, lamp in sitting room... more
