My wife chose the Ale House Inn for its beautiful rooms and the perfect location in the heart of Portsmouth. The stay couldn't have been more pleasant; with great service, a comfortable bed and all the little luxuries that make a hotel stay simply wonderful. Thanks again Doug & Dan! We will be back... more

I was very much pleased with everything related to staying at the Ale House Inn -- from making my reservation to check-out. I actually had to switch my reservation date after already receiving a confirmation email, and it was NO problem -- not only was it not a problem, Doug treated with respect, kindness, patience, and overall wonderful customer service.... more

We stayed in the cozy queen room on a Sunday night. Even though the room is considered cozy it was plenty big enough for 2 people. Great attention to detail in the decor. Bed was extremely comfortable. And ... how can you beat Aveda products! The room rate on a Sunday night is extremely reasonable. Great location - walking distance... more
