My husband, daughter and I took this tour in March of 2009. It was our first trip to Las Vegas. We don't gamble so we were looking for fun things to do and found this tour in one of the brochures that we picked up around town. We chose this tour for the length of the ride and for the... more

We stayed in the Best Western at Overton for easy access to the Valley of Fire state park. The hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. When you take into account the fact that wireless broadband and breakfast were included in the rate, it was a bargain. Eat at Sugar's Home Plate (opposite McDonalds) and stock up at Lin's Market... more

Valley of Fire is only about 40 minutes north-east of North Las Vegas, on highway I-15. It's very easy to get to, and seems a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. The scenery is stunning. Luckily there are lots of places to pull over and take great photos. The peace and quiet is surreal. You... more

This is a great trip that is about one hour from Vegas or about an hour and a half from the Hoover Dam. It is a beautiful park. The rock formations make you feel like you just landed on Mars! My boyfriend and I visited Vegas over Valentine's weekend and took a day trip out to see the sites. We... more

Stopped here overnight while boating on Lake Mead. This is a Seven Crowns Resort and they are notorious for not spending money to keep their properties up. Dirty, overpriced, drunks all over the marina. Just not worth it -even if free. more

Large room, very quiet, clean, digital A/C-Heater, comfortable beds and pillows. Extra heater in the bathroom. Thanks to Lisa who was quite helpful checking us in early and providing information on the area. Limited TV selections, but we weren't in the room much anyway. Breakfast: cold cereal, juice, very strong coffee, frozen waffles, English muffins, small danishes and canned fruit.... more

Based upon the positive reviews, my husband and I were eagerly looking forward to our visit to the Valley of Fire, but it was kind of disappointing. The rock formations were okay, but they weren't awe-inspiring or anything. Kids might like the rock formations more than we did, I suppose. We didn't see any wildlife, probably because we visited during... more

An hour's drive north of LV and a $6 entrance fee and you are transported into a different world. The peace and quiet is a welcome change after the noise and lights of Las Vegas. The scenery is breathtaking and the rock formations fascinating. Definitely a great way to explore a different side of Nevada. Make sure that you take... more

Valley of Fire is about an hour from the Strip and it was a true experience treking thru the canyons. Incredible rock formations, hikes, seeing big horn sheep. There are two entrances, west and east. If you come in from the west side, there is a guard gate where you pay $6.00 and they give you a map with all... more

After days in Vegas, working, partying, gambling...we were worn out with the whole scene. I rented a car & headed north to the Valley of Fire. It took only an hour & I felt like I was on another planet! Red rock formations, some resembling animals, some giant slabs of swiss cheese, greeting us on our driving tour. There were... more

Tour date: September 21, 2008 - I was skeptical booking this tour from www.vegastours.com as none of the booking sites actually say which ATV company you will be booking with or where I could find the best price. I ended up booking it because it was the cheapest (around 160 usd) and had the longest ride time (they all averaged... more

I'm from the east coast and was attending a friends wedding. Be careful of signs and asking for assistance. We drove from Vegas, and were running late for a wedding and had the rings in hand. Driving a rental that I'm not use to, in an area I have never been to before, and I was a little pre-occupied. However... more

Wow, this place is gorgeous! We drove up from Las Vegas in about an hour. Turned off I-15 at SR 169, which took us past Lost City Museum, then south to the eastern entrance of Valley of Fire. If you enter from the east, be prepared with exact change or a check for the $6 entry fee, because there is... more

We stayed here one night because we were exploring Lake Mead. The motel was clean and the rooms were comfy. Even though the motel seemed new, I think it was a remodel---certain aspects of it seem old. The pool was tiny---the picture that they have up of the pool makes it look gigantic. We felt the motel was a little... more

We stayed at the Echo Bay resort on 9/18/08 - 9/22/08 in Rooms 107, 108, 106, 105, 109, 110. Room 107 had Scorpion in the room. Room 108 had cock roaches in the bathroom and bed bugs. Room 105 was dirty and bed bugs chewed up my son butt and back of his legs, confirmed by a docotr visit. The... more

This is a great place for an afternoon getaway from the Las Vegas crowd. After chilling by the pool all day, we left Las Vegas at 3:00. It was the beginning of summer and we had the park practically to ourselves. The entrance is about an hour north northeast of Vegas off 169 through a reservation. The roads are in... more

We had hoped to camp at Zion that night but by the time we got there the first come sites were full, so we decided to carry on to Valley of Fire. Temperatures went down to the low 70's at night, so it was comfortable for sleeping. Campground was beautiful, with our tent set up below huge red rocks. Washroom... more

Do not stay in this place it is filthy. We stopped here to survey whether we wanted to stay, on our way back to Las Vegas. The grounds are in desperate need of care, the paint on the hotel is old and worn, the restaurant is absolutely filthy with flies circling your dining table, rude servers, food that is wayyyyy... more
