We had a superb meal, fantastic views of Lake Superior, and outstanding service. Best meal of our trip; I highly recommend it. more

In March of 2009, my fiance and I started at one end of the covered bridge (over the Poplar River) as single people and got off the bridge on the other end as a married couple. The food that was served for our meal (37 total guests) is still being raved about as with the friendliness of the entire staff... more

We arrived and the place was practically deserted. Which was alright for us. I think maybe there was 2 other couples there. The staff is very nice. When we went in our room there were signs that said we couldn't drink the water, but they left us bottled water to use instead. Whenever we needed more we just let the... more

Wehn we arrived this time in May on the at night it was nice they left opur key out along with a letter stating the following: They would not have maid service unless asked. We spent the weekend at the cozy, northwoods lodge during a wine and food weekend. The food was fabulous and the wines were memorable. Everyone was courteous from the reception desk to the waiters. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. This was a great place to unwind and slow one's pace from a hectic life! more

We're a group of passionate skiers that aren't too hoity toity when it comes to ski area lodging...as long as there's a nice room, a good view/ambience and basic services that you can count on, we're happy...we realize that remote ski area lodging is a whole different thing than 5-star city or mega-tourist area lodging. The new units at Eagle... more

I have been a guest at Lutsen for over 20 years. We stayed at Eagle Ridge in February of 2009 for the first time, though, and I will never go back. When we arrived, we checked in at the front desk with no problem. But, when we got to our room, there were signs all over the place saying that... more

I have been staying at the Cliff Dweller for twenty-thirty years! It's just the greatest value on the north shore. The breakfast is great and there's a view of the lake and good bird watching, too! The proprietors are wonderful...always. more

As a frequent visitor to the Lutsen area we typically like to mix up our lodging choices. Our most recent trip was specific to downhill skiing (and we were without the kids!). As a result, we did not require large accommodations. We were looking for something economical, yet convenient. The Mountain Inn was perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating (Conor... more

I brought in a large group of friends (adults) and their kids for a big meal at their main lodge and restaurant at 5:30 pm on a Sunday night. There was NO one in the restaurant when we came and maybe 4 or 5 others were in the place. We called beforehand and had it approved, BEFORE we arrived, that... more

My husband and I stayed at Eagle Ridge on thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful stay. I would say one negative was when you arrive to check-in there is very little parking and the "hut" you check in at is very small. This being our first time to Lutsen, we did not realize that the lifts and such shut down... more

I have stayed at this hotel a half dozen times. The staff is great and the breakfast is amazing. I always have a full stomach before going out to a day on the Slopes. The staff has done so much to make my stay great it is what keeps me coming back (despite lack of a hot tub). They have... more

We come to this resort on a regular basis and we just love it. In the winter the ski-in and out is a must for me as I like to take breaks. They have upgraded their restaurant called Moguls, nice menu and good quality. Staff at the resort is very pleasant and accomodating. more

My girlfriend and I booked a room here for the weekend through the Lutsen Mountains Ski Package, since this room was priced fairly higher than a regular motel like Super 8, I had somewhat high expectations. We were coming from the North, from Canada We had a great deal of trouble locating the place. The large lit sign only faces... more

The reviews here are pretty "dead on" in terms of rating this hotel. So, I won't bore you with too many details about my stay. My visit was midweek from 1/6/09 thru 1/9/09. The Cliffdweller was indeed a great value and the owners/staff were pleasant and responsive. The view of Lake Superior is arguably as nice as you're going to... more

Do not stay in the D unit of the condo section. There is no parking in front of that building. So we had to drag our suitcases through the snow to get to our room. Parking is very limited! Not a true ski in/ski out! Stayed in a grond floor unit could hear every step the uptairs occupants made. It... more

We rely on TA for the majority of our vacations or mini vacations. We did not have a lot of time or options when booking our stay “Up North” for two nights on 12/30 & 12/31. We booked last minute and the following day we checked the TA reviews and were a little hesitant since we booked cabin 11. All... more

I booked this hotel through the nearby lutsen mountains website for their stay and ski package. We were not disappointed! This place is very close to the ski hill and boasts lakefront rooms with an incredible view. The staff care, breakfast is included, the rooms are clean. Although this property could use a hot-tub, the view/location/price cant be beat. We... more

My husband and I went up to Lutsen for a romantic winter getaway, and we were satisfied with the beautiful location of Caribou Highlands Lodge, but disappointed with the service. As others have mentioned, they are remodeling (Dec. 2008) and I felt like the staff was preoccupied with that and that the customers were more a nuisance to them than... more

We went to Lutsen Mt. ski area over Thanksgiving weekend 2008. They only had 6 runs open (Lutsen has about 90). They have four mountains there. Only two had open runs. The snow they had was man made and very icey. We have gone to Lutsen before in January/February. My advice, don't waste the time and money going early season. more
