Etta Mae Inn Bed and Breakfast

This is a superb bed and breakfast with great access to DC, the metro, and downtown silver spring. The rooms were very private and nice and I liked having my own bathroom. The house is really big and there is lots of room to explore and it felt like the kind of house that belongs to everyone who is inside... more

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night because our electricity went out in our home. We rented a jacuzzi suite which from the title we thought was going to be a decent room. This was the worst night I have ever had in a hotel/motel in my life. The bed was dirty, the pillows were dirty, and the... more

What an amazing bed and breakfast. Really great location, close to everything. Jim and Francoise were great and the house was very spacious and welcoming. Way better than staying in a hotel and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. more

This was the most atrocious Quality Inn/Choice Hotel I have ever stayed at. Also, extremely noisy. There were some foreign guests (I think from France) who were staying there - they were up all night partying, drinking, smoking, being loud and obnoxious. I called the front desk to ask them to ask the Frenchies to please be quiet. Nothing happened.... more

Its a terrible neighborhood. Filled with crack and drug dealers at night while they look into your windows. The cleaning staff steals right from your room and gets away with it after you check out. The low pay of $80 isn't worth staying here. Try a trustworthy and safe hotel. Never come to this hotel! more

Well, we got to the hotel and there were a lot of people outside of the hotel. When we got in our room, the sheets were worn out with stains on them. One of them had something on it..who knows what it was. Also, one of the blankets had a cigarette burn in it. When we walked in the bathroom,... more

We drove to Washington DC. This may not be the hotel/motel dreams are made of, but for the price to be 10-15 min driving from N Capitol and Massachusettes in Washington DC I recommend it. The room was clean. The air conditioner worked. There was no shortage of hot water. The coffee maker was supplied and worked. We weren't bothered... more

I found highly irritant dusts/aerosols in (3) three Rooms and grafitti in one of them. Manager just brushed off my concerns of atypical (not related to cleaning) aerosols. I am a scientist in Nanotechnology - these aerosols ARE harmful for frequent guests AND, especially, the cleaning crew. more

It is located in a busy neighboorhood, which makes sense if people are walking around. Our room was on the first floor. The bathroom was small but very clean as well as the rest of the room. I checked the bedding and mattresses and they were clean. The pillows were small though. The carpet looked clean, I wouldn't know if... more

We have just returned from a two-week 3000+ mile road trip and this was our first loding stop. Reserved through [--------] [which gives it a 2-star rating] for 3 nights. This property shares a poll and parking lot with an Econo Lodge. When we arrived there were three police cruisers handling a 'situation' across the parking lot at the other... more
