We were on a business trip -- from Shreveport to New Orleans -- eating our way south, so to speak. We had great dinners in Shreveport, Ruston, Alexandria and New Orleans, but none as good as at Fremin's. To be honest, we ewre dreading Thibodaux -- would there be any decent place to eat??? When I checked TripAdvisor I was ready for a letdown when arriving in Thibodaux. The hotel recommended Fremin's, and I was not disappointed. Excellent food, good value, friendly service, all in very classy upscale environment. Be sure to try the chargrilled oyster appetizer! Only downside was TV in the bar area "intruding" into the dining room. more
This is an outstanding restaurant with amazing food and a friendly and efficient wait staff situated in a marvelous old building (a former drug store) on a charming street in town. What a find!
