I'm a great fan of Kentucky state parks, so it's hard to disappoint me, and this one didn't... We have been to the lodge on several occasions and have enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We have a boat and enjoy Rough River more than any other in the surrounding areas. The events /groups coordinator completely messed up our reservation and people had to move from one place to the other on the second day. We barely got an apology much less a discount. The small or "deluxe" cabins are horrible, they are smelly and smoky and the carpets are stained/dirty. The air conditioning vents are blocked by furniture and heavy... more
