I have been coming to Caesars, Harrahs, now Horseshoe, each April on spring break for six years. 2009 will be our 7th year. We are a teacher and friend who have the week off, and come down from Michigan to get a jump on the golf season, and to gamble, and eat some good food. We love the golf course,... more

My wife and I have been to this casino in the past when it was Caesars. Let me say that although I do not expect perfection in all things this last trip was absolutely the worst when it came to service both in the hotel and the casino. We ordered room service for breakfast and it hadn't arrived after 2... more

We booked our reservation by phone and was promised a Premiere Suite for a good price but when we checked in we were told that they can't reserve those rooms and were put into a plain King room for the same price. Their attitude was that the reservations desk is not in this hotel and they have no control over... more

Now that they give you a free buffet when you gamble for a half hour the lines at the buffet are terrible at best. The buffet is terrible and to tell you the truth the resturant Legends is pretty bad as well. Beer on the casino is $3.50 buy the time you tip beer money can go pretty fast. The... more

My wife and I have stayed many times, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana. Actually, we come down almost twice a month for the night. We go through our Casino Host, and everything is all taken care of, room comps, reservations, etc.. even a meal for two at Legends.. I couldnt ask for a better time. The rooms are great, comfortable, great... more

I've stayed here several times a year since it opened and have seen it slowly going downhill in maintenance and customer service - hotel, restaurants, and casino. Rooms are OK, although not the cleanest. Hotel seems to have an ongoing problem with hot water - lack thereof. The staff at the buffet are not friendly at all. I always feel... more

My wife and I have visited the great city of Louisville several times a year for the past decade. During most of our visits we have always stayed at Caesars Indiana and truly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, Caesars was recently changed over to the Horseshoe casino and hotel and has drastically went downhill. To begin the service is now terrible.... more

Stayed at the Horseshoe for a Saturday night getaway with my husband. Rooms have really went downhill. The whole hotel/casino has been revamped to the Horseshoe theme. We stayed in a regular room with a king sized bed. This nonsmoking room had burn holes in the carpet so at one time it must have been a smoking room. There were... more

I really enjoyed getting out of the house for a few days with the family. My wife decided on Horseshoe because of a great deal she got through her company. We went there and brought the kids. I was able to play 2 rounds of golf on the well-maintained course there. All in all, we had a great time, and... more

I received a complimentary room on September 23rd 2008 at Horseshoe Southern Indiana ( Formerly Caesars Indiana ). I arrived at 8:30 PM to find absolutely no wait at the check in area and was greeted by a nice person there that had me done and checked in within 30 to 60 seconds. My room was on the 6th floor... more

First, a caveat. I have been to casinos in several places (Vegas, New Mexico, Louisiana, etc.). This one is in a unique situation because as far as I can tell there is no surrounding competition. Therefore, food prices are extremely high (cafe breakfast for two was over $20), the slots are tight, and there is literally a charge for everything... more

very poor customer service. We booked and paid for a nonsmoking king and after driving 5 hours were told that this type room was sold out. Manager was very defensive and unsympathetic. more

My partner and I stayed here on the way to Detroit from Atlanta. We like to make it a 2 day trip and decided to stay at Caesars Indiana. We are Diamond Members, so it was free and we said what the heck, can't be to bad. The hotel is dirty and needs a make over. The carpet in the... more

My wife and I started going to Caesars Indiana about 7 years ago, and it used to be great. It was very clean, and the casino was fantastic , probably the best in Indiana - tons of table games, wide variety of table minimums, separately themed floors, lots of different slots, and even free self-serve soda machines. However each year... more

My husband and I made the trip, which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes, to Ceaser's for the second time in April. We both lost the first time with no hits on any slots at all. Thinking maybe it was just our bad luck we had a coupon for a $29 room so we decided to go back. The... more

When we drove up, we were excited to check in and unload the car. When we stepped in the door and were hit by the cloud of smoke, we were ready to turn and run. Maybe our (non-smoking) room will be better, I thought. It was not. This hotel and casino really needs to improve its ventilation. Our window in... more

NON SMOKERS BEWARE- You cannot breathe anywhere in this hotel or casino. The smoke hangs in a haze over everything. They need to upgrade their ventilation systems and get some smoke eaters. Our "non-smoking" room required a spray down with air freshener as soon as we arrived (windows don't open and no fan in bathroom). Not much relief. Everywhere is... more

I drove from Indianapolis (about 2 hours to the south). I had the buffet, which was less impressive than a Golden Corral. Food was bland, choices were uninteresting. The 3 small floors of the casino that had gaming going on were very smoky and there weren't a couple of the options I was looking for: Video Poker for $0.05 or... more

Took a trip on 2/7/08 checked out on 2/8/08. My wife and I have been before and generally like it. The room was free and nice, GREAT bathroom. The meal at legends was very good. Make sure to get the mushrooms or the hot brown sandwich, very good. My wife won I lost, they did have full pay 9/6/2/1 Video... more

We stayed at this hotel during the week when you can get a pretty reasonable rate ($95 after taxes). Overall this is my favorite hotel and casino out of all of the ones on the Ohio River. The rooms are very spacious and the indoor pool and hot tub are great and rarely crowded (the pool is actually warm enough... more
