It's easy to describe Grand Shores, old. This place is screaming "Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade!" but I guess people their don't notice the mouldy showers, hard as rock furniture and the horrible kitchen. Luckily my family stayed for only 5 days. Any longer I think I would have died. This being my second time staying at Ram Sea, I noticed one major improvment, the rooms. Both times going, out stay included my husband, brother, sister-inlaw, niece & nephew. Our first time, Ram Sea II RM 212 was the worst posible room imaginable. Yet our second time, RM 312 was fully loaded with enough space, slightly used appliances, and cleanliness.... more
(Perspective: I'm a 7-of-10 on traveler pickiness) Stayed in Room 419. The Good: Staff attitude is great across the board; nice location; good beach; nice pool; good parking; in-room refrigerator. The Bad: Tired building; dubious room carpet; worn around the edges feel to most things; goofy elevators; worn bath fixtures; pay ~$10/day for WiFi. Stayed here for 3-nights with wife... more
