The Hampton downtown has several pluses. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. 42" TV's. decent complimentary breakfast and an interesting downtown neighborhood. I know Days Inns doesn't set a very high standard but you expect some attempt at customer satisfaction. My boyfriend went to the lobby and got propositioned by an Oriental hooker. I guess that's their greeter? Room smelled musty. The room tv guide said we got up to channel 72. Only went up to channel 13. The a/c was loud... more

I first visited Amelia's 5 years ago. The food was good and I went back periodically. About 2 years ago, the long time owner retired and sold the restaurant to a young chef who has taken Amelia's to a new level. The food is fantastic.
