They were doing a lot of repairs/renovations while we were there, so hopefully it will be better for the next guests. The lobby a/c was broken when we checked in and it made for a very warm welcome (in a bad way). The room a/c worked, but even though we requested a non-smoking room, we could still smell smoke in... more

Stayed at this location for 2 nights, and we had no problems what so ever. The room was clean, pillows were extra fluffy. There was free wireless internet in the room. They have a lounge/bar downstairs near the main entrance. There was some type of bluegrass festival or something going on while we were there. There isn't much going on... more

In September 2007 I booked 13 rooms for my son's near-by wedding. The front desk was always pleasant, but there were multiple issues that made the whole experience unpleasant. Since I booked the rooms, they were all paid for with my credit card which the hotel had on file for any subsequent charges. After checking in, I gave them names... more

I stayed at the hotel for a conference and definitely would not recommend staying here for anything you want to attract or impress people. The staff was very personal and friendly at check-in but the room was terrible. I guess I've gotten used to fluffy dream beds, boutique amenities in the bath and just upgraded decor that even the conventional... more

The Holiday Inn Select offered a large, well equipped room, courteous and reliable front desk staff, and what would normally be an easy on-off I-95 location. The room was spacious, the furnishings comfortable, and the condition of the room was immaculate. The usual amenities for this level of hotel. Coffee, no tea, functional internet and TV. Nothing really special.... but... more

We came to this hotel for a skating competition. Even though the hotel was fully booked for the event, the staff was wonderful. Rooms are clean. The restaurant serves meals late. The club room was also nice. It is located very close to the interstate. It is very convenient to the Philadelphia airport. This was our 2nd year staying at... more

We came to the area for a soccer tournament this weekend (May 07). We stay in 6-8 hotels per year and have become pretty particular about them. Overall, this hotel was a great experience. The most imporant thing in a hotel - to me - is cleanliness. I found this hotel to be very clean and the decor was updated... more

This simple sandwich shop serves a good cheesesteak. It's a nice locale midway between Wilmington & Philadelphia airport. No intimidation or shame to neophyte customers. Perfectly cooked and mixed steak, which I had w/provolone, onion, sweet peppers, and ketchup. Perhaps the reason the cheesesteaks are near-heavenly is because of the location-- across from a church. more

I am a regular traveler to WIlmington, and I have stayed at this property many times. Normally, its not a bad hotel. However, the last trip was horrible. I booked my stay 2 weeks ahead, with a request for a room with a queen bed. When I arrived at 1030pm, I was told that only one room remained, and it... more

I stay in hotels overnight on business in the Philadelphia Airport region on a fairly regular basis and have my favorites. Although located in Delaware, the Holiday Inn Select is a viable alternative to the numerous hotels nearby the Phila airport which can be sold out and which occurred during this travel period. I found the executive level room to... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Select on the way back from NC. The front desk and staff were so pleasant and helpful. They were eager to please! The rooms were so comfortable and plenty big for a family of 5. The room was very clean and the bedding was exceptionally cozy. The pool area was a bit lacking. You... more

After staying here a couple of times, I was told that Platinum Priority Club members would now have to pay for a room upgrade, despite the advertised perk of free room upgrades if available. I expressed my displeasure and it appears others did too. Happy to see they're sensitive to customer's opinions, as they've since recinded the fee. If you're... more
