Heritage Inn

On a recent trip to Warren, CT I found myself in need of a hotel. Not very familiar with the town of New Milford, I only came across one small bed and breakfast on a busy road. I had no other choice, and Danbury where I usually stay was just too far of a drive. I decided to give the... more

I was really disappointed with Adrienne's. My husband and I ate there yesterday for dinner and had a very poor meal. Nothing good about it. We eat out often and have been to many places with all different styles of cuisine, but this place is one of the worst. My husband had the special which was scallops in a pesto... more

Anybody who has ever been to Spain will enjoy revisiting the country's cuisine via the River Cafe in New Milford. Chef Carl Mattiace does a great job with Tapas which are available both in the dining room and in the bar. Shrimp, olives, potato tortilla, little enchiladas with pine nuts and raisins, skewered lamb, meatballs in sherry gravy, and olive... more

I have stayed at the Rocky River Motel at least a dozen times. The accomodations are ordinarily basic and relatively clean. However, in the past few years, the motel has added a new building with more luxurious rooms at a higher price and seems to have neglected its regular priced rooms. My last visit was for three nights. The room... more

Homestead Inn

Washington, DC

We were visiting a friend in New Milford and the Homestead seemed the best of the few choices available. We were glad we booked it as it turned out to be a very pleasant stay. It's right around the corner from the village green (largest in Connecticut) and the room was charming and comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and the... more

The Cookhouse is by far one of the best BBQ restaurants I have ever been to. My husband and I have been there several times and have never had a bad meal. From their chili to their brisket to their ribs to their pulled pork sandwiches -- it's all mouth watering and delicious! more

I have been in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years and I can not say enough about this Motel! There are not many places to stay in New Milford and most people are more comfortable staying in a named brand Hotel/Motel becuase they know what they are getting. I read the online comments about this Motel BUT booked at... more

We stayed at this inn hoping to have a romantic getaway. The walls really are ridiculously thin. Our room was right next to the side sliding door, which made a huge 'BOOM' noise every time it was closed, and it wasn't locked until 10 pm. There was a huge group staying there at the same time, and they made a... more

I recently stayed at the Inn on Business and so glad that it is open again. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Having the wireless internet access throughout the rooms was a great advantage. The flat screen television on the wall were a huge plus. Each morning I was able to ask for scrambled eggs, french toast or waffles.... more

We stayed two nights at this little off the road hotel. I had read other reviews and since they were mostly positive, thought my husband and I would give it a try. We loved the room we stayed in and the bed was very comfortable. However, the only drawback was there were electrical outlets in the bathroom to plug a... more

Stayed at the Heritage Inn last weekend. Rooms were nothing more than oridinary. TVs are way to small and so are the bathrooms. There were small holes in our room. For a self proclamined historic inn the paintings on the wall of our rooms could be found at a tag sale. Also it very very noisy, espically if you are... more

We were tired and didn't know where were going to stay. We ended up in New Milford, CT looking for a motel. There are none of the big chains here. The only two motels we found are out of town North on Rt. 7. We stopped at the Rocky River Motel because it looked OK. Reception lady told my wife... more
