As a Small Luxury Hotels member, we found this location as we were wanting something as a base for fall foliage hunting. What a find! It started with the call for reservations at 8:30 PM and I was told that the kitchen closed at 9:00...so? Does that mean you do not serve people who arrive at 8:30 PM? My husband and I are relaxing at this moment in the corner suite at the Delamar. The quality of the furnishings, the view and the outstanding bathroom makes it one of the nicest suites that we have stayed in. I wanted to like this Inn more that I actually did. The location and room were top notch. The Village of Greenwich is lovely. I was given a nice room, just off the front of the house. It is a great option for leisure of business travelers. I entered the house and their was an unpleasant smell in the foyer.... more
We felt like we were inconveniencing the waiter by eating there. The waiter asked us what to drink before we even sat down and had a chance to look at the menu. This quinat cafe is located at the south side of Greenwich Hospital on the terrace adjoining the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Community Garden. Exceptional food, reasonable prices and a wonderful view with tables outside. Chef Rosanne is amazing. more
My husband and I went to Versailles for brunch early Saturday morning. Who would ever think about going the YWCA for lunch? We would and we do! This bright sunny eatery serves healty, fresh, gourmet foods for breakfast, lunch and late day goodies. They have amazing morning glory muffins, their signature chicken salad is the best ever and we love their original veggie roll that comes with their amazing balsamic salad blessing... more
