Six 89 Main Kitchen & Wine Bar

This is a cute place with a nice ambiance. Found it by accident in 2007 and was blown away by the food and presentation quality. Even the picky young ones thought 689 had the best burgers. In 2008 not the same place. Food was totally inedible. And not just on one plate. Response from staffer was a feeble sorry and... more

Overall these accomidations are just ok. I would probably not stay here again. At over $200/night it is over priced. The "pond" is very small and not large enough for the canoe that's in it. The "paddle boats" are not what you think they are...if your older then about 10 you won't fit in them. The river access if across... more

My family and I wanted to try a new restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. He requested sushi and we went to Konnyaku in Carbondale, Colorado. We had a wonderful meal, lots of personal service and advice, the menu is more than just sushi-lots of amazing entrees as well, and an incredible sake menu along with a full bar. We... more

Carbondale Mountain Fair

Mountain Fair is the last full weekend in July each year. The Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities hosts the fair, which is a community effort. More than 120 arts and crafts booths, 20+ food booths, beer garden, and an incredible variety of local and national musical acts. Free admission to a great party. It fills me with joy and... more

We stayed here to have a mid-way point in-between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. The price is decent, and the room was clean. The pillows were seemingly new and very soft and comfy. However, I was disappointed in the Continental Breakfast. Pastries tasted stale, hard boiled eggs were VERY hard (not sure how you'd even cook an egg to get it... more

Fish tacos were fantastic, as was my wife's Molcajete, a seafood combination served in a lava-rock serving bowl. Good reviews on Tripadvisor caught our attention and our local hosts on this trip also recommended El Korita. However, that said, the food was incredible but the margaritas were just so-so. Premixed and non-descript, I'd skip the margarita and recommend just having... more

Ambiance Inn Bed and Breakfast

Jun 2, 2008

My husband and I stayed in the Sonoma room, which features a four-poster queen bed. We enjoyed our stay there and found it to be perfectly comfortable. The owners were out of town so there was no breakfast served, but they gave us a discount which more than made up for it. Carbondale is a cute little town with a... more

Our family stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while on a ski vacation to Aspen. We found the hotel to be clean and updated with what looked like new carpet and bedspreads. The front desk people were very nice and the good breakfast helped us get a great start to our day. Overall we were happy with our experience... more

Having to go to Aspen on business in the middle of January ("Awww" says my wife) can be a very expensive endeavor if you are self employed. I couldn't find a room for less than $350 down there, and I really only needed a place to sleep and shower. I looked up towards I-70 hoping to find something less expensive... more

This is the place to eat, we had a wonderful lunch here in October. The Tuscan Chicken sandwich was a treat, not your ordinary food, definitely of the home made variety. Check their menu on their website. The place was busy and clearly a favorite of the locals. more

We stayed here (family of four) during our ski vacation to the Aspen/Snowmass area. We would definitely stay here again. Friendly service, clean rooms, and lots of space for our kids and our ski gear. The suite we had was big and quiet. The in-room refrigerator and microwave came in handy. Laundry facilities were just up the stairway. Great restaurants... more
