Went to Yosemite on short notice in peak season and was lucky enough to reserve a cabin via Redwoods a week before. The location makes it nice to visit Mariposa Grove but is still a good 30 minutes to the valley. There is a small market where you can buy groceries (cabin has kitchen and cooking utensils). Lots of complainer posts I see. Odd because my experience was fine. Bottom line, IF YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR DOG TO YOSEMITE, YOU HAVE LIMITED OPTIONS - - AND THIS PLACE IS DECENT.
