Planning to visit a Hearst Castle--a great place to stay... A newly refurbished hotel, with very clean rooms, nice continental breakfast. If you are looking for something more than your regular Motel 6, I recommend you stay at The Morgan. If I personally ever have to come back to stay around that area--I'd book the same place. P.S. Nice grounds by the hotel. We enjoyed sitting out by the outdoor fire in the evening and visiting with other guests. Also liked the fireplace in the room, so we could have our own fire. more

My intention was to visit Hearst Castle. This hotel is located very close to this site. For the most part, the hotel is no frills - however, I was pleasantly surprised by the free internet. The room itself was clean - however, the furnishings and bathroom fixtures were very old. The window in the bathroom was a little creepy, but... more
