The deepest impression we got is the friendly staff that makes you feel homely. A nice place to stay if you are visiting Santa Cruz and just want a quiet place for a night. The rooms are clean and spacious. We have a fireplace with a couch. All makes a cozy environment. Overall it's good value, nothing fanciful. more

We loved our stay at the Jewel Box Inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes privacy, cleanliness, organic/natural products & vegetarian food, picturesque garden/patio, tidy furnishings, and special extras (games, movies, and GUEST COMPUTER). Although I still can't get over the high prices of hotels in the Santa Cruz area, I must say that this hotel was nice, quiet and the staff was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. more
