I stayed at Dechen for 2 months in 2006. My room was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. The staff treated you like family. The restaurant is the best in the country. I loved the Indian cuisine and especially the vegetarian dishes. Breakfast was great as well. The staff went out of their way to assist you in any way possible.... more

I spent 10 nights at Amankora last October, and have concluded that it was the best hotel experience of my life so far, slightly besting the Villa Feltrinelli, Dar Ahlam, the Rosewood Mayakoba, and the Dolder Grand. I went to all 5 Amankora lodges, and agree with the other posters that to see all 5, you must have the stomach... more

Our driver who was showing us around Paro happened to make us stop by and have a look at the Hotel and it turned out to be the highlight of our stay in Bhutan We just returned from Bhutan 10 days back and the stay at Zhiwa Ling was really memorable It's an all suite hotel (around 45 in all).... more
