A letdown in strong Santa Ana winds has allowed California firefighters to make progress on three major wildfires that have destroyed more than 40,000 acres and hundreds of houses. Some residents are being allowed to return to their homes, and most evacuation orders have been lifted.
This hotel is new. We were some of the first guests. The hotel is located about 1and 1/2 miles east of the center of Brawley. Away from the noise and bustle usually found in hotels. The staff were very people oriented. Friendly and congenial. Neatly attired in a uniform type outfit. The men had suit jackets and ties. Very impressive.... more
I stayed at the Brawley Inn during August. Let me tell you it is HOT in Brawley in August , 111 degrees the day I was there. I came to Brawley in August for a birding field trip with the Los Angeles Audubon Society. The Brawley Inn was recomended by them. I was not disappointed. I found the desk help... more
Middle-of-the-road mexican (good, but not great) and lots of varied specials. Seems popular among the locals. more
